Manor House, Peterborough

Instead of selling its Peterborough city centre office to a private developer, Accent Housing decided to partner with Peterborough City Council to redevelop Manor House into 31, one and two bedroom homes for affordable rent.

Working with local contractor Lindum, construction was carried out in three phases: the first saw six one bedroom flats created in three Victorian terraced houses (which had been converted to offices in the 1980s); the second involved converting the main office building to 11 more flats; and, finally, 14 new homes were built on the site. Homes are being rented out through Peterborough City Council’s Choice Based Lettings scheme.
