Willow Court in Whittlesey is a state-of-the-art assisted living development, providing 47 one bedroom, and 13 two bedroom homes for the over-55s, as well as a residents’ lounge, restaurant, hair salon and therapy room, micro-shop and communal gardens.
The Longhurst Group scheme aims to improve the lives of local elderly people in the local community, enabling them to live independently with the convenience of having on-site access to the care and support they need.
Accommodating those with both visible and non-visible health conditions, including dementia, played a key role in the design of Willow Court. The aim is to enable every resident to remain as independent as possible, for as long as possible.
The development received support from Cambridgeshire County Council, Fenland District Council and Homes England, which provided £3.6m of funding.
